Success Stories

My favorite success stories:

Monty was an 11 year-old, off-the-track thoroughbred. When he came to the Ranch, he was so poorly developed that he couldn’t walk in a straight line. A special 350 run was constructed, along with routine massage and chiropractic work. After he was ready to work, I found a wonderful home for him with Denise Vardakas. She put Monty with a trainer who understood thoroughbreds and they started showing him in 2004!

Nova was purchased from endurance facility. He had been miserable there, loosing weight and poor hair coat. We just couldn’t figure out what was wrong with him, so we sent him to Helen Woodward for a stomach tap and other extensive tests. Nova had bleeding stomach ulcers. After we rehabbed him, it was obvious he did like endurance riding. A good friend was retiring her horse and talked to us about...

Nova. It was a match made in heaven – Nova loves cruising the trails and camping with his new friend.

Shasta Mae was a 4 year old bay mare that was so mishandled and mistreated that she was very jaded and untrusting of people. My staff and I spent a lot of time loving her and handling her. My friend Patty Sullivan and Shasta Mae connected from the start – she needed her own horse and Shasta Mae needed a loving friend. Patty works with her at Rocking Horse Arabians on a regular basis – in 2005 they are going on their first endurance ride!

Working with dogs and horses everyday is a privilege. Their energy and unconditional love is a true gift. These are just some of our experiences with an incredible array of wonderful animals. I hope you enjoyed reading about them.
